The insurrection hearings that began on June 9, 2022, reveal the latest in a long line of examples of modern-day Confederates violently clinging to the notion that America is a country for white people and not a multiracial democracy. We’ve now learned from the hearings that Trump "spurred a mob of domestic enemies of the Constitution to march to the Capitol and subvert American democracy.
